@SleeceNaija Nigerian Striker Chuba Akpom scores in Arsenal Fc Pre-Season Match
Arsenal may well have set the tone of what they expect opponents to see this season, as they made it four wins on the trot in Asia, with a tough 2-1 win over Urawa Red diamonds on Friday.
Lukas Podolski came off the bench at the start of second half to replace Olivier Giroud, and the move seemed to lay instant dividend as he shot the Gunners ahead after 48 minutes.
But Yuki Abe drew the home side level on 48 minutes, as he took advantage of slight confusion among the Arsenal back line, to rifle home.
It was left for Nigerian youngster Chuba Akpom, who had come on in place of bruised Theo Walcott, to reinforce his growing fame, as he scored what proved to be the winner with eight minutes left to play.
